Man, there is a lot of schmups on Steam that I never realised. What a time to be alive. Dunno if it matters but it would be cool if you could point out which games have a portrait view mode for those who like to play that way. I know for me that it's a very important feature for vertical shmups.

This is a great idea. Will be helpful in finding games and spreading the word of the large amount of games in the genre on PC, which people might not be aware of. I hope you add twinstick shooters as well.

Mommy's Best Games just put some of their old XBLIG stuff on Steam (Shoot 1UP and so on, I forget all the names).

There's also a recent western-made game called Don'Yoku that's on Steam and has been in a few bundles.

They've listed it on their Korean website, release schedules, etc but it hasn't been officially announced in English because they don't really announce anything in English, they just kinda throw games onto the various storefronts and hope people notice.

Yeah... you're right. Caladrius Blaze is listed as a PC release on their website. You can also see it labeled on PS4 releases too. Damn, you'd figure this would have made the news in the SHMUP forums.

칼라드리우스 블레이즈 has PC next to it with TBA as a release date. It's going on the list.

I'm a friend of the guys behind Xydonia. They are working really hard to make a fantastic game and even the alpha vers was awesome, it shows passion and love for 16bit STGs. I can say that now they are tuning the audio&music right to provide a real 16bit feeling.
Great job, I hope that GAF will pay the right attention to Xydonia!

It plays fantastic and the demo is pretty long if you want to give it a try. You have a pretty large arrangement of options the further you get in the demo. I really hope they release this as a full fledged game.

Deltazeal has a release date: it'll be out October 17 JP time (October 16 in most of the world) and will cost around $12.

The Deltazeal & XIIZEAL OSTs will be released on the same day for $5 each, and there'll also be a bundle that contains both games and both OSTs for around $20.

I need to comb throw the newest comiket videos to see what the rest of the shmups are in the video. I grabbed L.U.X. from thiere and completely forgaot about armed Dragoon. I'll get that on there now. There are some other shmups that are on there that I don't know the names of because they are in Japanese. One looked liked a Touhou game, but I don't know what it is.

I feel like if your primary platform is PC, a lot of games that came out in the past few years for consoles or in Japan (or both) are just now coming here.

And don't forget the good amount of doujin games finally available for cheap and easy purchase.
For example, just 5 years ago trying to buy Siter Skain games from Yahoo Jp was extremely hard and expensive.
