This is really cool!! Extremely nice to see folks sharing unapologetically arcadey action games on itch, keeping the dream alive.

Thank you! I'm very happy that you like the game!

Looks promising but I wasn't able to play the game with the keyboard. Is a PS4 controller the only input device? I was able to change some key mappings with the keyboard, but couldn't fly the player ship or even shoot once the actual game started.

Hello! That's strange, you should be able to play with keyboard (tested by multiple people). Did you have any USB devices plugged in? Maybe the game registered it as a controller. If you have a controller laying around: Start the game, plug in the controller and unplug it again.

Thank you for downloading and please let me know if you got it to work!

Seems like having my Logitech controller plugged in somehow conflicted with the keyboard input. Unplugged it and the keyboard works fine now. (Strange though because I usually leave it plugged in and don't have issues with it with any other programs).

I like the menu design and the ability to change key mappings was very convenient (I prefer space bar to fire and B for bombs).

Definitely gives the core shmup experience and I liked how there were 2 ships to try out from the start.

I found the side bars with the zoomed-in images more distracting than helpful.

I'm glad you got it to work, and thank you so much for the feedback!

Also: you can change the side-bar to a still wallpaper or black bars in the options menu if that's what you prefer :)
